So…
A few days ago we took a break from the Wrapsody design process for a very special project! You might remember a recent post when we showed you the fantastic selection of fabrics we received from Pat Sloan (and Moda Fabrics)!
That’s because it’s springtime, otherwise known as the time for Pat to be releasing a new collection of fabric! She named this year’s collection “One For You, One For Me“, and here’s the best part… its my honor once again to make up “one for Pat” to display in her booth at the Spring Quilt Market.
Now I would’ve loved to have made up a Wrapsody sample to send to Market, but it’s not quite ready for release. So I had to choose from amongst my previous designs and relying heavily on comments and suggestions we received as a result of that post, we decided to use our Uptown Saddlebag pattern.
First of all, I liked the idea of being able to showcase FOUR of Pat’s fabrics, and secondly I liked the idea of having another brightly colored “Uptown” sample in our arsenal.
And here’s the finished look!
I have totally fallen in love with the “blues” in this collection, which by the way are REALLY as bright and vibrant as they appear in these photos (which I promise are NOT “photo-shopped”). And I sure was glad to have these black & white mini-striped zippers because I love the way they add to the overall look!
“One for You, One for Me” will make it’s official premier at the Spring Quilt Market in Pittsburgh, PA, but it’s available for order now thru Moda Fabrics. If you like what you see, then you might want to suggest that your local Quilt Shop consider ordering it!
The fabrics we used for this Uptown Saddlebag were are as follows:
Blue w/ daisies- #43040
Blue Swirl- #43046
Red w/ dots- #43045
Orange- #9900-80
So… now its YOUR turn!
What’s your verdict concerning this new Uptown Saddlebag sample in particular and Pat’s new fabric collection overall? Are you already visualizing the incredible things you could create with it?
